Angelica Ginn also known as “Angel” has been dancing since the young age of 3. She’s trained at studios like JPD, Studio C, Millennium Dance Complex, Edge PAC, and Debbie Reynolds. She also trained in Marguerite Derricks teen professional company Generation Next.Angel started working professionally at the age of 6 in various jobs such as Saban, Barbie, Reebok, and Kid Songs. She then went on to working for artists such as, Rhianna, Chaka Khan, and Willow Smith. She was also on season 4 of America’s Best Dance Crew with her crew Artistry In Motion. Angel currently teaches hip hop and jazz funk all over the country and over seas and absolutely loves it. She soon hopes to travel the world teaching ambitious students everywhere.

 

 

Misty Redford was born and raised in Durham, NC where she began taking dance at the age of 3.  She became a Company Dancer of Durham at 8 years old and continued to train for 15 years.  Her training includes Tap, Ballet, Contemporary, Pointe, Hip Hop and Jazz from teachers such as Jose Meier and the Master of Jazz, Gus Giordano.  She performed at The Jazz World Congress in Chicago, Multiple Choices for the Children, the Duke Children’s Classic celebrity show for many years, for the opening of the Carolina Theater in Durham, local community events and competed in numerous national competitions.  In the Miss North Carolina Scholarship Pageant, Misty was selected to perform as a dancer in the show for numerous years.  Additionally, she has modeled for Lebo’s and Curtain Call magazines. One of Misty’s photos was selected to represent Curtain Call in two issues of Dance Magazine.  She travels around the country as a guest teacher and choreographer as well as judges dance competitions nationally.  Misty is a Meredith College graduate and currently resides in Durham, NC.

 

Anna Elliot was born and raised in Westerville, Ohio where she started taking dance at the age of 3.  As a young girl she was a successful competitive dancer where she won many different local and national awards, as well as a local Star Search competition.  At the age of 18 she moved to New York City to pursue her dream as a Radio City Rockette.  Anna performed with the Rockettes for 8 years.  While with the Rockettes she performed on the Today Show, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Rockefeller Christmas Tree Lighting, The Rachel Ray Show, the Nate Berkus Show, and performed in many other televised appearances locally and nationally.  She also toured the country tap dancing with the First National Broadway Tour of 42nd Street.  Currently, Anna is a dance teacher at Otterbein University and choreographs and teaches for local studios.  She also is a certified Pilates instructor and a mom of a 2 year old little girl. 

 

Kamille Upshaw, comes from Washington, DC, and started dancing at the age of three. As a young dancer, she trained in ballet, modern, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical and tap at Pizzazz dance studio; C&C dance company & Spotlight Studio of dance. Kamille graduated from the Baltimore School for the Arts in 2007. She is a recipient of the Washington Post scholarship and numerous awards at dance competitions. During her time at The Juilliard School Kamille has received the opportunity to work with choreographers including Darrell Grand Moultrie, Larry Keigwin and Stijn Celis. She has also performed masterpieces such as Twyla Tharp’s The Fugue, Merce Cunningham’s Summerspace, BronislavaNijinska’s Les Noces and Elliot Feld’s Skara Brae. At Juilliard, she discovered a passion for choreography and has had her works presented on the Juilliard stage. As a 2011 Juilliard Graduate, Kamille has been working with Darrell Grand Moultrie, Danced At the Metropolitan Opera in the show “Faust” , joined Rasta Thomas's Bad Boys of Dance, for the 2011-2012 Tour season, Danced with Alicia Keys on the BET Honors and has most recently graced the cover of the July/August issue of Dance Spirit Magazine. Now, Kamille is currently performing in the First National tour of "Flashdance the Musical".

 

Colleen Barnes hails from south Texas, where she trained under Debbe Busby with the Victoria Ballet Theatre. While earning her BFA in Ballet from University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music, Ms. Barnes danced with Dayton Ballet and lived abroad in Nanchang, China, teaching ballet and English to all ages at Allen Ballet. She danced with Ballet Pensacola and Dance Now! Miami, where work was created for her to tour both domestically and internationally. In 2013, Ms. Barnes had the honor and pleasure of working with the late David Holmes as the guest principal dancer in Sechelt, BC’s first ever production of The Nutcracker, where she performed both Sugar Plum Fairy and Snow Queen roles. Her favorite roles include demi-soloist in Balanchine’s Walpurgisnacht; Lucille Grahn in Pas de Quatre; Hannah Baumgarten’s Unburden; Diego Salterini’s Chronicles; Italian Princess in Swan Lake, and more.

Colleen has studied ballet methodology extensively with Ms. Anna-Marie Holmes, one of the few third-generation Vaganova teachers, as well as Francesca Corkle, former Joffrey dancer and current faculty, and Mr. Robert Ray, the Artistic Director of the Joffrey Ballet School’s Trainee Program. Ms. Barnes has worked for the Joffrey Ballet School of New York City since 2009, and has taught ballet and pointe for both Ballet and Jazz and Contemporary Programs since 2013.
